I love being outdoors and witnessing all of God's creations.  My first love was wildlife and it led me to explore videography and some photography.  While learning about and working with wildlife in Texas, I grew to see different landscapes and habitat and enjoy the qualities of nature and the resources it provides.  Hiking and camping began to take over my free time in the outdoors.  It was natural to pick my camera back up and to try to capture the glory of the wild.
Trying to capture the feelings of being outside, be it a small park in Houston or a National Park in Alaska, is the purpose of my photographic work. As a huge bonus, the process of going somewhere to take photos is fun and means more time spent outside in nature.  I work with a Nikon D7200 and have recently expanded into 35mm and 120 format film.  Working with a photograph in the darkroom or on a computer (if my mac will cooperate) is enjoyable, frustrating and constantly humbling.  Photography as an art form leads me to learn something new, refine a technique and keep growing.  Thats why I photograph and I hope you will enjoy the work.
